MLF is excited to announce the position of Home Prep Coordinator.

The Home Prep Coordinator is an integral part of the Neighbor Care team, assisting in a variety of operational duties that support the Move-In Team in the move-In process. The focus of this role is to lead neighbor contractors and volunteers in the home prep and interior design process for all homes selected by new neighbors who have been chronically homeless and approved for housing at Community First! Village. This role has the unique responsibility in transforming a house into a home.

This is a full-time non-exempt position reporting to the Move In Manager. Due to the nature and requirements of the position, hours are flexible to fit need, but typically include 8am-5pm Monday-Friday. Some nights and weekends may be required. The Home Prep Coordinator will office at Community First! Village located at 9301 Hog Eye Road, Austin, TX 78724.

Mobile Loaves & Fishes has embarked on a new and innovative journey to transform how we care for the chronically homeless in our community. We have recently launched and developed Community First! Village, a 51-acre master planned community that provides affordable, permanent housing and a supportive community for the disabled, chronically homeless in Central Texas. And we are now embarking on a second phase of community expansion, adding more than 300 new neighbors over the next 5 years.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Prepare each home with consistent home essentials
  • Manage inventory of home essentials and decor including ordering all items, tracking of inventory amounts, and maintaining the correct amount of inventory at all times
  • Facilitate home prep cleaning
  • Create and execute the interior design plan prior to move-in day
  • Build, educate, and lead a team of neighbor contractors in completing daily home prep and home decor-based contract assignments
  • Create, steward, and oversee volunteer opportunities to complete various home prep tasks
  • Educate, train, and steward all Home Prep Volunteers
  • Verify home prep job completion for accuracy and excellence, ensuring that everything is completed prior to the new neighbor move-in
  • Communicate with Move-In Teammates daily to ensure flow and organization
  • Place all needed work orders in a professional and timely fashion
  • Maintain all Home Prep storage facilities in a clean, and organized fashion
  • Manage and adhere to budget and weekly credit card reconciliation
  • Write all contracts for Home Prep contractor team on a weekly basis
  • Serve as the main point of contact for all Neighbor Care donations; steward and communicate with all donors with excellence and care
  • Assist in turning a home over when a neighbor moves out
  • Assist in developing and leading group projects for Neighbor Care and Relationship & Giving donors and volunteers
  • Assist in Neighbor Care events as needed
  • Other Duties & Responsibilities as needed
