A Gritty Journey of Tex-Mex Theology with Alan Graham, Founder and CEO of Mobile Loaves & Fishes

Loving Our Neighbor, with Tricia “Mama” Graham

Gospel Con Carne host Alan Graham always loves to say that “behind every great woman, there’s just a man.” This is your opportunity to meet that great woman in Alan’s life, his wife Tricia Graham, who has faithfully been by his side for nearly four decades. Tricia is the Director of Resident Care for Mobile Loaves & Fishes, and oversees the organization’s daily engagement with the formerly homeless men and women who live in Community First! Village. She describes the recent several weeks of dealing with the COVID-19 crisis as an extraordinarily unsettling moment, but one through which she has continued to have a sense of peace knowing that—just like other difficult seasons of life—this, too, will soon pass.

Leaning on Faith, with Amber Fogarty

Everything we do at Mobile Loaves & Fishes is about relationships and connecting with other individuals human to human, heart to heart. So as you can imagine, in this unprecedented time of social distancing due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our organization faces a challenging dynamic as we seek to continue growing community and building relationships with our friends who have experienced homelessness. In this episode of the Gospel Con Carne, you’ll hear from Amber Fogarty, MLF’s president and chief goodness officer, as she and Alan discuss the organization’s response to the global crisis, how it has impacted our day-to-day operations, and why it’s important that we all lean on faith as we navigate the coronavirus storm.

About the Podcast

Each of us has a story to tell about who we are and how we got to where we are in life, and the element of community, whether you realize it or not, has played a vital part.

You alone have not just pulled yourself up by your bootstraps. Your path in life—your story—has been molded by other individuals along the way.

Hosted by Alan Graham, founder and CEO of Mobile Loaves & Fishes, the ‘Gospel Con Carne’ podcast explores the woundedness of society through the untold stories of individuals who have encountered homelessness. You’ll hear from men and women who lived on the streets for years or even decades, and other guests who, though never homeless, understand the profound impact of family and community on their lives.

Join Alan as he takes you on a gritty journey of Tex-Mex theology while unpacking poignant stories from the streets of life that will leave you with a new understanding of the significance of community and home.

Alan Graham is one of the country’s leading visionaries on issues involving homelessness. He’s also a pretty cool dude. Meet Your Host >
