Mobile Loaves & Fishes is thrilled to partner with Austin’s iconic Alamo Drafthouse to present the most exciting movie experience in town. The Community Cinema presents free weekly screenings throughout the year – and you’re always invited! We regularly host guided tours of the Village so come have a blast and learn about the Community First! Village too.

The Community Grille (staffed by Community First! neighbors earning a dignified income) serves up hot food, concessions, snacks, and drinks. Cash, cards, and tips are accepted. Thank you for your generosity during the show!

Community Cinema Director Ed Travis can’t imagine his life without movies.

An avid cinephile and film critic for more than 15 years, Ed moved to Texas specifically to dive into the Austin film community. He is overjoyed to combine his Christian faith with his love for movies in his work at the Community Cinema. Be sure to check out Ed’s own film website, Cinapse, his critic page on Rotten Tomatoes, or his list of Top 10 2018 Films that encompass the core values of Mobile Loaves & Fishes and the people we love the most.
