Please watch this short video to hear more about the many ways you helped provide for our Community First! Village neighbors and our friends still living on the streets of Austin this year!

When I walk around the Village and see the Christmas wreaths adorning my neighbor’s doors, I am reminded that these wreaths are not only a holiday decoration, but a greeting of hospitality and welcome for friends and neighbors. They are also a symbol of hope, peace, new life and everlasting friendship. These simple circles of greenery and what they represent make me think of you and the many ways you support and care for our Village neighbors, as well as our friends still experiencing homelessness on the streets of Austin.

What a beautiful time it is here in Community First! Village, and I join with my friends and neighbors in wishing you a very Merry Christmas!

When we come together to serve and compassionately connect with the men and women who need us most, we affirm our belief that housing alone will never solve homelessness, but community will.

I am so grateful that you are part of this community.

This year, 87 of our friends suffering homelessness moved into a permanent home within a caring community at Community First! Village. They will be celebrating Christmas at home for the first time in a long while, and you made this happen! It is through your loyal support that our neighbors have put down roots and settled into this safe and secure neighborhood to grow and flourish. They have found their place of permanence and belonging. They have found opportunity, dignity and community. They have found connection with compassionate people like you!

Thank you for giving our friends what they needed to restore and transform their lives!

Nearly 400 formerly homeless neighbors currently live in the Village, and we will soon reach full capacity in our 51-acre neighborhood. With your help, construction on the expansion of Community First! Village is well underway. Working with our partners at Foundation Communities, our two properties will provide 1350 homes comprising an additional 127 acres.

Through your faithful gifts, lives are transformed and those suffering alone on the streets are lifted up into community and home.
