Social Work Intern Manager

The Social Work Intern Manager is a key member of the Neighbor Care Team at Community First! Village. This role is responsible for leading, mentoring, and supervising a team of social work interns who walk alongside our formerly homeless neighbors. The Social Work Intern Manager ensures interns are equipped to provide direct care, emotional support, and resource connections while creating a meaningful and values-aligned learning experience. This role also serves as a bridge between interns, Neighbor Care staff, university partners, and community resources.

Organizational Empowerment Intern

Empowerment Interns assist team leadership with various tasks in multiple areas, including data management, communications, and business operations for MLF’s Learning & Development and Culture initiatives. The right candidate is a jack-of-all-trades business student with great Microsoft skills, a desire to learn, and a heart for service. This is truly a multi-faceted role on a diverse and exciting team where every day is a little bit different!

Assistant Property Manager

The Assistant Property Manager plays a vital role in maintaining the operational integrity of CFV, supporting the Property Manager in overseeing this unique residential community. This position supports lease compliance, neighbor relations, and the development of systems and procedures that keep daily operations running smoothly. The role also supervises Property Management staff, coordinates with law enforcement and supportive services partners, and serves as a key leader within the Neighbor Care team.

Community Market Coordinator

The Mobile Loaves & Fishes Community Market program exists at Community First! Village to be a hub where everyone – neighbors, volunteers, staff and guests – has a reason to visit, shop, linger and connect to community. The Market Coordinator is responsible for coordinating efforts to maintain a welcoming and engaging retail environment, empower volunteers and neighbors, and meet the needs of a diverse customer base. The right candidate is a hospitable, adaptable, and energetic individual who is passionate about creating an incredible experience for our customers and volunteers.

Property Management Technical Administrator

April 9th, 2026|

The Property Management Technical Administrator plays a key role in supporting the systems and infrastructure that help keep the community safe, secure, and operating effectively. This position oversees incident reporting workflows, access control systems, security camera coordination, and technical documentation processes in support of Property Management operations. This role also works closely with the Travis County Sheriff’s Office, vendors, and internal teams to coordinate evidence sharing, access needs, and system functionality.

Property Management Evening Steward

April 9th, 2026|

This role serves as the primary onsite Property Management and Neighbor Care presence during afternoon and evening hours, providing relational support, lease compliance oversight, and urgent operational response when senior daytime staff are no longer onsite. The PM Evening Steward is entrusted with sound independent judgment and serves as a key point of contact for neighbors, staff, maintenance response, and emergency services during scheduled hours.

Replication Program Intern

The Replication Program Intern will work closely with the Replication Team at Mobile Loaves & Fishes (MLF). MLF’s Replication Team supports organizations and communities across the country in understanding our unique approach to mitigating homelessness and implementing this approach in their own contexts through various learning opportunities. These learning opportunities include in-person and virtual events and trainings, as well as written, audio, and video content.

Seasonal Events Assistant

The Seasonal Events Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the preparation, execution, and cleanup of events at Community First! Village including our biggest event of the year Village of Lights. The position is designed to assist with various event related tasks and on-site support, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for all attendees, volunteers, and staff. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, a team player, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Senior Manager of Site Operations

The Senior Manager of Site Operations is a vital role responsible for directing the care and stewardship of all homes, buildings, and grounds at Community First! Village (CFV), a permanent supportive housing community for formerly chronically homeless individuals. CFV currently includes over 600 homes and 100,000 square feet of staff and community buildings spread across 102 acres on two adjacent sites. Over the next several years, CFV will grow to 1,800 homes and 200,000 square feet of buildings spread across 178 acres on three separate sites. This role oversees teams responsible for the maintenance and warranty management of homes, public buildings, and grounds through the entirety of their lifecycle, ensuring that facilities meet the operational needs of Mobile Loaves & Fishes’ neighbors and staff. The Senior Manager will also collaborate closely with the Site Development and Construction teams to ensure smooth turnover of newly completed homes and buildings.

Volunteer Coordinator

The Volunteer Coordinator is an integral member of the Community Empowerment department, working to steward the MLF vision of empowering communities into a lifestyle of service with the homeless by filling the volunteer needs of our programs as we steward relationships with groups and individuals who desire to serve with us. This position will focus heavily on the administrative communication and coordination needed to ensure an excellent volunteer experience. At MLF, our vision is to empower communities into a lifestyle of service with the homeless, and the Volunteer Coordinator is on the front lines of bringing this vision to life.

Community Empowerment Volunteer Intern

Empowerment Interns assist team leadership with various tasks in multiple areas, including volunteer engagement, truck ministry operations, and general communication support for the Volunteer Team. The right candidate is a people-oriented, mission-driven student with strong organizational and communication skills, a servant's heart, and the confidence to lead. This is a hands-on, dynamic role where no two days look the same!

Site Operations Intern

Community First! Village is a 51-acre master-planned community that provides affordable, permanent housing, and a supportive community for the chronically homeless in Travis County. The Site Operations Department is responsible for overseeing the design, construction, and maintenance of 51 acres of existing community and a 127 acre expansion currently under construction. The Site Operations Summer Intern is an integral part of the Site Operations Department. The primary role of the Site Operations Summer Intern is to provide information management support for projects at Community First! Village.

Relationships & Giving Intern

This is a part-time, non-exempt internship position working within the Relationships & Giving (R&G) team and reporting to the Administrative Specialist. Due to the nature and requirements of the position, hours are flexible to fit needs but typically include 15-20 hours a week Monday-Friday, with the potential of some nights and weekends. The R&G Intern will office at Community First! Village located at 9116 Hog Eye Road, #3405, Austin, TX 78724.

Neighbor Care Administrative Specialist

The Neighbor Care Administrative Specialist provides hands-on administrative, data, and logistical support to the Senior Director and Assistant Directors of Neighbor Care. This role is responsible for carrying out the day-to-day administrative execution that supports Neighbor Care operations, ensuring that data, documentation, communication, calendars and workflows are accurate, organized, and consistently maintained. This position plays a key role in stewarding Neighbor Care records and systems, executing Neighbor Care events and gatherings, and embodying radical hospitality through daily interactions—serving as a relational and operational anchor that helps hold the Neighbor Care team together.

Assistant Director of Neighbor Care

As a leader within the Neighbor Care Team, the Assistant Director will collaborate with other department leaders to oversee daily operations and to ensure the effective implementation of programs and services that foster community, enhance neighbor well-being, and maintain the operational excellence of the Village. A crucial aspect of this role includes ensuring that our neighbor’s homes and surrounding properties are efficiently and proactively managed, the move in process is seamless, and monthly/annual move in goals are met. This role requires a compassionate leader with a strong background in people management and strategic planning, with experience in housing and property management, as well as a passion for serving low-income communities.
