Recently I saw a holiday sign with the words “I believe” spelled out in red glitter and it got me to thinking about what I believe this holiday season.
I believe joy is to be shared. I believe love is the foundation for community. I believe hope inspires opportunity. I believe peace is coming home.
I believe You are the Goodness that is Mobile Loaves & Fishes.
Through your goodness, 160 formerly homeless neighbors have come home to Community First! experience the joy of Christmas at home surrounded by a caring community—something they’ve hoped for, but may have never believed could actually happen.
Sadly, I know that many of our friends are still struggling on the streets of Austin this holiday. For them, Christmas Day will come and go like any other day with no family and no place to call home. Our homeless neighbors will spend the day searching for a warm meal and a safe place to sleep. They are lonely, hungry and hoping to make their way home. They need your help!
