It became home to me because I was finally in the right place, at the right time, doing the right things.

I can go into my house, close my door and sleep peacefully. I don't have to worry about anything!

Before she passed, my mom knew that I was safe and no longer living on the streets.

I'm exactly where I belong!

It took me a while to heal, but I feel like I've gotten back to myself.

The Village is like a big work in progress of friendships and family, and it’s all good. I’m able to get help and to help others.

When I got the keys to my house nearly eight years ago, it was like getting keys to a whole new life.

I just thought I’d paint something that deeply signifies how I feel about living here in the community.

I'm smiling now because I'm happy, I'm having a good time. I'm home.

I'm really proud to live here.
